The GCHS soccer team is off to a rough start so far in their season with a couple losses. The team is fairly new to a varsity team so they came out not ready for the intensity or power of these other schools. The team has amazing talent and a ton of amazing players but just don’t have the chemistry they need yet.
The Warriors had their first home game against Triad High School. The Triad school soccer team is a very good and experienced team. They have been working together for a long time and had the chemistry and intensity we didn’t have. The game ended with Triad at a score of 7 and Granite at a score of 0. The Warriors face off against Columbia and O’Fallon at home next week on the 6th and the 7th. The Warriors are gonna try their best in the few upcoming practices and games to try and get a better lead coming into the rest of this season.
