“The Price Is Right” has been on the air since 1972. The show debuted September 4 1972. It has grown and changed a lot over the last 50 years. The one thing that hasn’t changed is where they have been shooting the show at all this time. Where is this you may ask. Well they shoot the show at stage 33 in CBS Television City in Los Angeles California. They are moving due to a $1.25 billion renovation going on at Television city. Their new home will be at the Haven Studios in Glendale California. The new season they will be shooting there, season 53 should be airing at the end of September.

Studio 33 is also known as the famous Bob Barker studio. It was named the Bob Barker studio in March 1998 honoring Bob’s 5,000 episodes. Bob Barker was the host of the show from 1972 till 2007. For 35 years he gave away millions of dollars in cash and prizes. When he retired in 2007. Drew Carey took over to host the show in 2007. He is still the host to this day.
